In June of 1951, Amity Advertising & Letter Service became a reality. The prime function was the handling of mailing services such as: inserting mail pieces into envelope, addressing, delivery of mail to the post office and house-house distribution. Wilbur J. "Bud" Janszen, his wife Inez, worked long and tedious hours to keep the business going.
From that small letter shop, located in the Becker Building, with less space than our storage room, grew the largest, most complete direct mail service in Greater Cincinnati.
Our first major expansion was in 1952. With the increase in equipment and people, came an increase in business. The following year, more space was needed and again in 1957, we added another floor. By 1961, Amity had its composition and printing department on the third floor of the Becker Building, the mail department on the fourth floor, and storage on the eighth floor.
Year after year we continued to grow. In 1964, we moved into the Power Building. Once again, in 1968 we bulged at the seams and moved to bigger quarters on Iowa Street.
In 1981, Thomas H. Janszen, became President of the company. In 1982, because of our diversification and need for more space, we changed our name to Amity Unlimited, Inc. and moved to our present site, 531 North Wayne Avenue.
In 2000, Robert J. Janszen became President. Our growth didn't just happen. It was caused by people, employees who were willing to give the 110%
